End of Week 3 of the June yoga challenge

Well what a week!  This is for the week from Sunday June 13 to Saturday June 19.  In the previous weeks report I thought that this week should be mostly okay and that is the way it turned out.

I did manage to do a yoga practice everyday from Sunday to Saturday again this week.

  • Sunday – Full Intermediate before classes started in the evening at my studio.
  • Monday – Full Primary at 6:30 am at my studio.  I had some company.
  • Tuesday – Full Intermediate at 6:30 am at my teacher’s studio.
  • Wednesday – Full Primary at 6:30 am at my studio.  I had some company again.
  • Thursday – Full Intermediate at 6:30 am at my teacher’s studio.  We talked about her recent workshop in Chicago with Manju Jois.
  • Friday – Full Primary at 6:30 am at my studio.  I company again today.
  • Saturday – rest day. Yea!

Almost missed Sunday Practice

I do my practice from 4 – 6 pm in the afternoon on Sunday and yoga classes start at 6:30 pm.  I was testing my new video camera, wireless lavelier microphone and importing the result in Camtesia.  All of the testing went fine.  However, I was so absorbed in the testing that I was almost late leaving for the studio.  I did get there in time and I did finish my practice before people started to arrive for their classes.  It was close though.  This is yet another indication that early morning practice is the best time.

Baddha Padmasana

My shoulder muscle continues to bother me.  My binding in Baddha Padmasana continues to improve.  Some days I can grab both big toes and some days I can not.  When I can not, I do not continue to struggle to complete the bind.  The frequency of the binding and the quality of the binding is improving.

This Week

Sunday is Father’s day.  This is going to be a very busy day.  I will have to find a time slot to do my yoga practice.  There is a workshop from 10 -12 in the morning.  There is a celebration meal at home in the afternoon and then there is yoga classes at the studio from 6:00 – 10:00 pm.    The rest of the week looks promising.  There appears to be no other obstacles to getting a yoga practice done.
