As a young girl I always felt that athletic activities were not for me. No running, no gymnastics, no soccer, however, I LOVED headstands! I did not realize then that I was destined to fall in love with Kripalu Yoga.
Also, as with so many other young women, I was overly critical of my body and looked to diets to solve life’s problems.
A few years back, a close friend of mine, and now a fellow yoga instructor, asked me to attend her beginner’s class. As I stood for the first time in Tadasana (the Mountain Pose) something dramatic changed in me. I was strong, physically vibrant, and alive. That was 15 years ago.
Today, I’m 46 and I love promoting and offering Kripalu Yoga to everyone, despite their age, their body type or their level of physical activity. My approach is to hopefully offer you a warm, nurturing, environment where you will feel safe from both feelings of external and self-judgment while building physical strength and flexibility.
I am a certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor having completed the 200-hour program Atlantic Yoga Teaching Training program with Silver Frith and Jody Myers. I have also had the pleasure of learning from some wonderful local Kripalu instructors such as: Karen Hollet (CYT), Silvia MacCormack (CYT) and Jean Short (CYT).
I am looking forward to seeing you at Sunrise!
Peace and Light,
