It all started in India
I was introduced to yoga in India about ten years back with some basic postures and breathing exercises called Pranayamas. Since then, yoga has enhanced my experience of life throughout my journey. Later, I took 200 hours yoga teacher training in Halifax. I am a counseling therapist by profession and a mother of two beautiful daughters.
From my experience, I can tell you that Yoga has taught me to be mindful, to connect with life and to be fully present in the moment. As I started practicing Yoga, I started to listen to my body and comprehend what it needs most, at a given moment. Ultimately, it helped me to know myself better.
For me, Yoga has brought the pieces of the puzzle together – some that I had and the rest that I found through my practice of Yoga.
I believe as an active counseling therapist my extensive practice of yoga and meditation helps me strengthen my focus, awareness and allows me to rejuvenate.
I try to incorporate the following quotation in my daily routine:
“We take care of the future best by taking care of the present now”
